Love for Land Creates a Unique Conservation Community

The first time I walked Bridal Cove, I was mesmerized by the highland meadows, secluded coves and distinct ridgelines. I knew it was designated for protection, and that with the right mix of conservation and development, we could preserve the land and the natural features that make it unique. By collaborating with our conservation partners we developed a design for Bridal Cove that protects the land's scenic views, wildlife habitat and water quality, while allowing for a few select homesites.

When I'm at Bridal Cove, up on the ridge or by the river, listening to the birds and looking at the roll of the land, it feels magical, like another world. So much has been invested in the conservation of the nearby mountains. Standing here I feel I am part of something bigger than myself. My dream is for those who live here to feel the same way.
